Think Breakfast: The SSM Postal Survey’s Cost On Mental Health

The Australian postal survey on same-sex marriage is reaching a crucial point, with the final chance to vote drawing near. As a result, the effects of the aggressive ‘no’ campaign are becoming more pronounced, impacting Australia’s LGBTIQ families.

Two researchers from UTS have created an online survey asking members of the LGBTIQ community to complete, in order to collect data on homophobia and experiences of psychological distress, and provide insight into the mental health implications of this national conversation.
