Workplace Health: how does paid menstrual leave affect gender equality?

Coexist, a not-for-profit organisation in Bristol, has recently introduced a “period policy” in an effort to create a productive working environment by giving women more flexibility.

The policy offers females employees the option of taking leave from work if they are suffering from period pain.

Dr Lauren Rosewarne joined Sam to talk about the implications of paid menstrual leave on gender equality. Sam asked whether the the backlash was just a dismissal of women’s issues.
