Dictionary of Sydney – Brutality at Birch Grove

If you’re talking grim crimes committed in Sydney, surely this 1822 incident is a top contender? After a friend noticed the Birch Grove home of the Bradleys ransacked, they entered and found what they thought was the leftover bone of some livestock. Further investigation found the couple murdered, a body missing, and a trail of money leading to an indebted servant.
Dictionary of Sydney’s Rachel joined Felix on Breakfast to share the harrowing tale.
