A new film offers a playful look into the complex connections of desire in a relationship drama that focuses upon gender definitions and the difficulty of living in your own skin. Leaping between musical and kitchen-sink drama, the film explores the life of Travis (recently released from prison) and Candace, an aspiring singer who is auditioning for the role of Tina Turner in a West End musical. Things suddenly take a turn in Travis and Candice’s relationship when the purchase of an expensive red dress change their lives in surprising and startling ways.
