Italian Film Festival

Since the end of World War II Italian Cinema has maintained a reputation for quality storytelling, from the powerful social dramas of the Italian neo-realists to the extravagant cinema of Federico Fellini and Paolo Sorrentino.  Being September means it is time for the Italian Film Festival, allowing audiences to sample the best new films coming out of the passionate Southern Mediterranean nation. Stephen Hill talked to Jason di Rosso, the presenter of Radio National’s film show The Final Cut, about what we can expect of the films in this year’s line up.
