新年快乐: Chinese/Lunar New Year in Australia
Today is the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, also known as 春节 (Spring Festival) in mainland China, which commemorates the new year on the Chinese calendar with the new moon. While today is the first office day back from the observed holidays, the Chinese New Year celebrations take place over two weeks. Australia happens to host the largest overseas Chinese immigrant community in any nation outside Asia. How does this significant event impact our country?
