100 Years Of Radio in Australia

101 years ago, you wouldn’t have been able to hear our presenter’s lovely voice over the airwaves – because they didn’t exist, and neither did radio in Australia!

But thankfully 100 years ago, management decided to make Australia’s very first radio broadcast, and it’s gone from strength to strength ever since. The National Film and Sound Archive has kicked off their Radio 100 exhibit, a digital celebration of all things Australian radio history – and you can get involved too! Kate Scott, the Editorial Director of the NFSA joined us to share what Radio 100 is all about.
