Wayne’s 4 x 2 – Houston turn the volume up!

Ok people, it’s that time of the week.

Yep, a glorious sun-drenched monumentally happy and expressive time of the week.

A time of the week we’re reliably informed Elon Musk demands is patched through to the astronauts in the ISS.

And a time of the week bringing warmth and goodness to all that partake, near and far.

4 reviews. 2 minutes each. Wayne Massingham’s 4 x 2!

Wayne come on down!!

Reviews this week:

ALBUM – 5 Dreams by Soft Plastics. Debut album from this Canadian 3 piece, headed by Carey Mercer and including a couple of ex Frog Eyes members. Bouncy, percussive, robust vocals and a few musical surprises as always. We loved it!

TV SHOW – I Know This Much is True. HBO – Directed by Derek Cianfrance and set in Connecticut in the early 90s. Based on the 1998 novel of the same name by Wally Lamb. Troubled relations, twin brothers, sadness and heartbreak set around a backdrop of paranoid schizophrenia. Mark Ruffalo rips it.

FILM – A White White Day – set in Iceland where a policeman suspects foul play regarding a woman’s death. Grief and coping mechanisms are at the fore, as are suspicions of an affair. Thrilling Scandinavian drama, and brilliant acting.

TV SHOW – Upload – Amazon Prime – highly entertaining futuristic comedy based on the afterlife and available technology, set in 2033. A very clever and touching show – imagine uploading your memory to the afterlife?! A slice of what’s to come perhaps… with plenty of laughs along the way.
