Genetic Link to Gender Identity

In 1988 a Professor Jenny Graves conducted research to understand how sex gene codes may work differently in homosexual individuals, compared to those who are heterosexual. This lead her to question, whether certain variation in gene codes, common amongst transgender individuals, affect their sexual identity.  Distinguished Professor Jenny Graves for Ecology, Environment and Evolution, from La Trobe University, joined us to discuss this.
