Almost 200,000 Sign Petition To Create An Animal Abuse Register
Every year in Australia, RSPCA inspectors respond to around 15,000 cases of suspected animal cruelty. Although there are heavy fines and possible jail time for offenders, there is nothing stopping an offender from owning another pet in the future. In the last six months, nearly 200,000 people have signed a petition to create an animal abuse register which would ban offenders from owning pets again.
Here to talk to us about the proposal, we have RSPCA Chief Inspector Scott Meyers. Tune in to know more!
