2016 Global Carbon Budget: What Does it Say?
The 2016 Global carbon Budget has shown that fossil fuel emissions have stalled and that the trend is for slow increase over the next few years. The authors have called it remarkable in comparison to the trends of the early 2000s and it’s so far proven to be an encouragement that the global economy can grow while reducing our environmental impact. So how are we really doing and what does the budget tell us about reaching the goals agreed at Paris?
