Spoken word or poetry slam? It’s the rhythm of words that can captivate minds.
Currently across Australia writers are battling it out for the Australian Poetry Slam competition. They are given two minutes and a microphone to win over the audience. The best poets will be performing at the Sydney Opera House in the National Final in October.
As the 60 Australian Poetry Slam heats run across the country we decided to chat to a previous national winner to find out just what it takes to win this Prize. We spoke with Jesse Oliver, the 2017 National winner of Australian Poetry Slam.
