This week, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg delivered optimism in the Morrison government’s first federal budget, promising billions in surplus, major tax cuts and billions allocated to health and infrastructure. But with the federal election on the horizon, many have dismissed Frydenberg’s economic optimism as purely an election tactic.
