Defence is undergoing massive changes, overseen by the Albanese federal government. The Australian Government just released The National Defence Strategic Review 2023, led by former defence minister, the honorable Stephen Smith, and retired Air Chief Marshal, Sir Angus Houston, ahead of the 2023-2024 Federal Budget.

Perceived threats from China and Russia to the Indo-Pacific region and the advent of the “missile-age”, have reduced Australia’s geographic advantages.
