This year’s theme, ‘Infinite’, features the works of 10 Australian artists who focus on abstract and non-objective drawings, exploring methods and materials that go beyond our immediate surroundings.
NSW Artist Emma Fielden’s drawing performance ‘Drawing From Breath‘ forms part of the art installation ‘Infinite’: by “playing a large, handcrafted silver flute, dragging it across the surface of a black canvas, every mark on the canvas representing the length of a breath given.”
The 2024 Dobell Australian Drawing Biennial, ‘Infinite’, is a fascinating exploration of how artists conceptualise drawings, showcasing the many techniques and approaches that define art in 2024.
