This year 2SER is turning the big 4-0 and we want you to help us celebrate!

Since our very first broadcast in 1979 2SER has worked tirelessly to bring Sydneysiders a wide variety of stories, ideas and music – and hasn’t it been a wild ride along the way! Over the past four decades thousands of volunteers have worked to create hundreds of programs for millions of listeners and we think that is something worth celebrating.

2SER will be hosting a number of events across Sydney over the coming months and we would love for you to be involved! Take a look below at our confirmed events and be sure to keep check in for fresh 40^th Birthday content and announcements.

2SER’s 40^th Anniversary Pop Up Archiving Day

28^th of September, 2019
12pm – 4pm
Studios 301 – 3b Ellis Ave, Alexandria

We are inviting anyone with 2ser related memorabilia to join us at Studios 301 for an afternoon of nostalgia as we work to fill gaps in the stations historical archive. We want you to bring us your old 2ser tapes, and photos, and documents so that we can create a comprehensive history of the stations last 40 years of broadcast! Items will be assessed by staff with the aim of digitising as much material as possible (original owners will receive a digital copy of their item free of charge).

Studios 301 will be opening their doors to all attendees so that you can take a peak at their world class operation and experience firsthand the amazing archival work they have been doing for 2SER over the past few months.

Exhibition: 40 Years of 2SER

107 Projects – 107 Redfern St, Redfern

Join us at 107 Projects in Redfern between the 10^th and 20^th of October as we celebrate the rich and vibrant history of 2SER with our specially curated exhibition, ’40 Years of 2SER’. This exhibition will explore a plethora of stories and events from the last four decades by using images, audio, and artefacts from 2SER’s eccentric archives.

Entry to the exhibition is free of charge and open to the general public.
