Monica Jayne Chalmers is the current 2SER admin assistant and “reception lady” (as she puts it). After studying music at TAFE just in Ultimo and walking past the station every day, she came into the station to volunteer, and has since built up her skills on air presenting, completed a music internship and also worked on new music show New Fangled.

After her music course Mon completed a Diploma of Entertainment Business Management, and has a real for the business side of industry. Keen to make sure the future is “not just cigarette men in suits”, Mon wants to build on her existing event coordination skills to one day own and run a live music venue.
