A small shift can make a big difference – global warming

More than 1,800 species of Australian plants and animals are threatened with extinction. Not only animals and plants, we are also threatened by the environment. From September 2019 to March 2020, fires heavily impacted various regions of the state of New South Wales. Followed by floods and extreme rain, these events are relevant to global warming. As the climate continues to change, these disasters will become more frequent and more severe.

Professor Lesley Hughes, an ecologist in the Department of Biological Sciences at Macquarie University and expert on the impacts of climate change on species and ecosystems,  joined 2Ser Breakfast.
