3D Printed Gun laws still unclear
3D Printing is a new technology with lots of potential. Unfortunately, there are also grey areas that have safety issues. 3D printed guns have been in the news ever since 3D printing was developed, and laws around them are still murky. In Queensland, a legal precedent has been set as Kyle Wirth was given a six-month suspended sentence for fabricating a number of gun parts. The Daily’s Sam Baran spoke to Richard Matthews, PhD candidate from the University of Adelaide.
