40 percent of water saved by reverse osmosis at Tooheys
Around a quarter of the water used in NSW is used in brewing. Its not just in making beer, its the cleaning and steam making that also makes huge demands on water. On the driest continent on earth we need to embrace recycling of water and for their cleaning processes Tooheys in Lidcome will be using Reverse Osmosis to purefy all of their cleaning and plant usage water with the exception of the actual beer ingredients.
These processes could make a big difference in water usage in manufacturing and for cities and towns throughout the country.
