The Lebanese Film Festival
Cinema is often utilised as a platform of expression, as well as education. It is particularly useful in relation to cultural exposure and understanding. And this is the exact intention of the Lebanese Film Festival. This is the sixth year of the festival, and there’s an action-packed program, full of a vast array of genres, all of which intend to provide insight into contemporary Lebanese culture, especially that in Australia. Jessica Khoury is a Sydney-based film-maker, writer and actress, and she is also the co-director, and one of the judges for the festival. She joined 2SER producer Rhiannon Williams to tell us more about the festival, and discuss her role in its management and organisation.
