Warragamba Dam and Sydney Water
Last week Water NSW disconnected Warragamba Dam as the main source of Sydney’s water supply due to contamination that flooded into the dam after heavy rainfall.
The dam has since been reconnected as Sydney’s main source of untreated water supply however, Water NSW chief David Harris told the ABC they are developing monitoring and contingency plans.
Greens MP and spokesperson for water, Cate Faehrmann spoke with Breakfast host Alex about some concerns Sydney could face in light of potentially ongoing water contamination.
