Homelessness and housing services amid COVID19

At the start of the COVID19 lockdown period, The NSW Government and homelessness services allocated $34m in support to more than 2,200 people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This support has given people access to hotels, motels and rental assistance during the COVID19 lockdown period. But as restrictions around the lockdown slowly ease, there’s a question mark hanging on whether this temporary government support will be extended,  creating huge housing insecurity for more than 2000 people across New South Wales.
