What’s in the $250m Arts Support Package?
When the coronavirus pandemic hit Australia, arts venues had to close, and activities essentially ceased due to public health orders. Yesterday, the Morrison government unveiled a $250 million package for the entertainment, arts and screen sectors. The grants and loans will be rolled out over the next 12 months. But is it enough considering this sector has been particularly hard hit by the COVID-19 crisis? The Daily was joined by Ben Eltham, arts journalist and lecturer in creative industries at Monash University, to talk about the measures.
