Based on the novel by Philip Roth. Great cast; a parable for our time.
Album: Phoebe Bridgers – Punisher – 2nd album from this soul baring critically acclaimed lyricist. Recorded at Sound City Studios LA, Bridges brings her unique style to this beautifully sparse, yet wonderfully varied offering.
Film: Shoplifters (SBS On-Demand) – a touching and humorous foray into the lives of a not so typical Japanese family, set in Tokyo. Full of quirks, twists and turns, Shoplifters won the Palme d’Or in Canne 2018. Directed by the hugely acclaimed Hirokazu Kore-eda.
TV Show: Never Have I Ever (Netflix) – 10 EPS series created by the talented Mindy Kaling – delves into a different America, one seen through the eyes of immigrant children and family issues as they navigate growing up in America. Added bonus – it’s narrated by John McEnroe.
