Printed Solar Panels Showcase The Future Of Energy
A team at the University of Newcastle has developed a new form of renewable energy technology that is set to revolutionise the clean energy sector. This energy is produced by printed (yes you heard that right!), solar cells that are as thin as a chip packet and are being manufactured using conventional printers that one might find at home or in an office. The printed solar cells are now for the first time being showcased in a public setting in Sydney’s North Shore.
Professor Paul Dastoor, a physicist from the University of Newcastle and the creator of the organic printed solar panels joined The Daily to tell us more about the public debut of the cells and their potential to change the way we create energy for good.
