The Monarchy Debate

We heard a lot of talk last week of the ongoing debate between the monarchy and the republic. And with Australian of the Year David Morrison making it a key point in his acceptance speech, you’d think a republic would be next in the ranks for Australia, right?

Well, according to new data published in the Australian Journal of Political Science public opinion towards the monarchy in Australia is shifting.
