This week we’re chatting about the results of the report into NSW Police Force’s predictive policing program. The STMP was called out back in 2017 for disproportionately targeting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – some as young as 10 – and singling them out for increased policing. The report released by BOSCAR shows an unsurprising relationship between increased policing and ending up in jail.
