Instagram Campaign Recognises Indigenous Place Names
Before Europeans divided Australia into its states and territories, our country’s Indigenous people followed a different map encompassing more than 500 clan groups. In a push to recognise our first peoples and the land we live on, a Gomeroi woman has successfully led an Instagram campaign to get Australia Post to add Indigenous place names to our addresses.
