How do we keep our teachers in school?
Researchers have estimated that about 30 to 50 per cent of Australian teachers leave the profession within the first five years.
Recently, a report by the National Teaching Workforce revealed that across the Australian states and territories, a total of 5.7 per cent – that is 21,404 of teachers left the profession in 2014.
So why is this happening and what can we be doing to keep our teachers?
