The Monday Daily’s Local Gig Guide
For the fourth instalment of the Monday Daily’s local gig guide, Oscar and Jarred gave a recap of some of the shows they caught on the weekend and discussed some of the must-see gigs coming up this week:
15/1 Mel Blue + GhostGums
Coming up first this week we have Mel Blue playing at the great Vic on the park in Marrickville, the show is free and seated show, first in first served, with the show starting at 8pm. The show will also be live streamed to the outdoor projector so you can watch from the deck & carpark too.
Now If you are a fan of Phoenix, Daft Punk, and Parcels then Mel Blue are the group for you. The Sydney based electronic pop six-piece presents a fresh perspective on dance pop. Joining them on the night will be indie pop group Ghostgums, an act that blends dreamy pop with britpop beautifully.
16/1 Amber Rose
Next up is the lovely Amber Rose at the Park House in Manly this Saturday at 9:45pm. The show is part of the venue’s weekly Parked concert series. With a shuffling beat, jangly guitar, and dreamy melodies she sets the scene for the perfect heartstrung ballads perfectly.
16/1 Pyjama Sundays
Also playing on Saturday night Jarred are the group Pyjama Sundayz aka Sydney’s sweethearts aka the most unique band in Sydney aka the estranged sons of Rock n Roll will be gracing the OAF main stage at 6pm. You are always guaranteed an electrifying night when Pyjama Sundayz play, prepare for the unimaginable to happen.
