The connection between surfing and the environment is a pretty clear one – so it’s not a surprise to see surfers around the country rallying in support of environmental causes. But recent times have also seen the industry and the athletes finding an impactful voice on social and political matters. One man on the front lines is Sean Doherty. He’s the publisher of Surfing World Magazine – which recently repositioned to talk more about these bigger issues. He joined our producer Stef Posthuma to tell us more.
