The Truth About Spider Bites
Recently a report of a man having his legs amputated after a suspected spider bite, may have been a misdiagnoses, in which the amputation may have been due to a bacterial disease. Considered at first to be a bite from a white-tailed spider causing necrotic ulcers, research has shown no cases of bites from white-tailed spiders leading to such ulcers. In fact the disease is now suspected to have been obtained overseas.
