Specialised Care for Australian Veterans
The NSW Government released its plans to implement Australia’s first unit to care for veterans and their families at Concord Hospital in Sydney’s west as part of the state budget’s $341 million upgrade to the hospital. This attention to veteran care is much needed due to the health conditions veterans and their families are prone to and the state of Sydney’s hospitals.
But why has it taken so long for a dedicated Veteran’s unit to be formed?
