In the week that’s gone, Oscar headed down to Mary’s underground in Circular Quay to watch King Stingray, a brilliant band that brings surf, indie rock and funk influences to their Yolngu rock heritage.

Ghost Gums – The Duke – 6/5
Starting their month-long residency this Thursday at the Duke in Enmore is Sydney rockers Ghost gums. They’ll be playing around 8 pm every Thursday during the month of May. They draw heavy influence from bands like the stone roses and the growlers, so check em out, maybe even go and see them four times haha

Friday – Jet City Sports Club and Creep features – 7/5
There’s a big dose of rock n roll the following night on the Friday with Madchester inspired Sydney band Jet city sports club playing at the bank hotel to launch their debut EP September. Those guys always put on a great show, with lots of singable guitar melodies and infatuating vocal lines. Supporting them is Sydney two-piece Creep features, Australias’ royal blood’ haha.
Sesame Girl – The Polo (Canberra) – 7/5
You might feel like taking a little weekend trip to our nation’s capital this week to catch dream poppers, Sesame girl, for the launch of their single ‘Get up, I’ll be there, I’m obsessed with the single and trust me its worth the 3 hours bus ride, you might even run into myself.
