Concrete jungles and bringing wildlife back to cities
In the last few weeks Environment Minister Greg Hunt pledged that he would increase the number of trees in urban areas around Australia in an attempt to combat rising temperatures within cities.
A number of big cities around the world have already adopted green city policies and they have positively impacted the urban environments. But will this push be enough to increase the wildlife within city areas?
Dr Peter Fisher, a professor of Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT, joined Mick to talk about how we can restore healthy ecosystems in cities.
