Balarinji Company Art Soaring
In NAIDOC week we are going to take a moment to appreciate the incredible contribution that Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Art and Design has made to Australia.
You may recall the impact the first Qantas Jet had when it was totally covered with the art of John Moriarty, a Yanyuwa man from Borroloola – and there have been more Qantas jets covered in his art since then. Well he along with Ros Moriarty founded the of Art and Design, and 2SER’s Roderick Chambers spoke with the current Project and Community Co-Ordinator D’harawal woman Matilda Brown who explains how the company started.
