Today Wangan and Jagalingou cultural custodians wrote to Meaghan Scanlon MP, Queensland Minister for the Environment, calling for an immediate stop work order on the Carmichael mine.

Their fear is that the large volumes of water already extracted by Adani at the Carmichael site have locked in future environmental damage to the sacred Doongmabulla Springs

W and J Elder Adrian Burragubba recently received a rare apology fromthe Queensland police, who acknowledged they had acted wrongly in forcing him and others off an area covered by pastoral lease during ceremony.
