Climate displacement experts met in Geneva last week adopting a statement to improve the lives of those forced to leave their homes due to climate change.
The Climate Land Statement on Improving Land Access for Climate Displaced Persons and Communities calls on governments to identify, acquire and allocate land to climate refugees.
So what does this agreement mean for climate refugees? And is it enough to address this growing problem?
Scott Leckie, director of the climate change refugee NGO Displacement Solutions, joined us to dicuss how this Statement will the affect the future of climate change refugees.
