The MUA (Maritime Union of Australia) has recently announced and launched a design themed poster competition. The artwork is to address the struggles and major events in Australia’s history or to include key historical maritime workers such as Harry Bridges or Jim Healy and to add further incentive for creativity the Union is offering a $5,000 prize for the entry that gets first place. So what was the motivation for this competition and what exactly are the MUA looking for as a winner? The Daily spoke with Shane Reside of the Sydney Branch to find out.
