The Ethical Minefield Of ‘Mandating’ Vaccines
With the recent announcement’s by both Qantas and Virgin Airlines that they would make it ‘mandatory’ for all of their employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19, the ethical discussion around such enforcement’s has only heated up.
While there has been large support for such policies, criticism has abounded from a number of human rights groups, and even some unions, with concerns around the possible precedent this may set for body integrity and civil freedoms.
Dr Simon Longstaff from the Ethics Centre joined Tina Quinn on ‘The Daily’ to both discuss the ethical considerations and debunk a number of misconceptions around the issue.
