Around Town – September 25th – 26th

The 2021 Taiwan Film Festival in Australia is coming into its final week. The annual event provides a cultural connection through its 13 selected features alongside eight short films. The festival will run until next Thursday, 30th September. This is a ticketed event, and bookings are essential. Head to the City of Sydney website for more information.

As our September Artist in Focus, we are invited into Janet Tavener’s Sydney studio to explore her process as she creates a new body of work leading up to her solo exhibition with MAY SPACE Online in October, Amphibious Assault. Tavener’s event is free,  so all you need to do is book your spot over on the city of Sydney website.

Unsettled is a 360-degree immersive experience hosted by the Australian Museum while it’s temporarily closed due to lockdown. Unsettled is a First Nations-led exhibition, providing insight into the lived experience of First Nations peoples over the last 250 years. It’s not one to miss, and has no attached fee.

For further information and booking, head over to the “what’s on” section on the City of Sydney website. Thank you to our folks at the City of Sydney for sponsoring this segment 🙂
