Concerns over low Indigenous vaccine rates

As NSW and Victoria begin to ease Covid-19 restrictions, Medical Professionals are pleading with Indigenous Australians who aren’t vaccinated to get the jab so they aren’t left exposed to the virus.
With NSW hitting over 80% of the eligible population fully vaccinated against Covid-19 over the weekend and Victoria expected to hit over 70% on Thursday, restrictions are planned to ease in each of the states.
Despite the large number of vaccinations, Indigenous vaccine rates are still considered to be low in comparison with just about 36% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders fully vaccinated nationally.
