Without much fanfare, the Government has put forward proposed legislation to establish a Trusted Digital Identity Scheme. There are significant privacy concerns about the Scheme, and there are calls to ensure that data is properly protected, as Kelsie Nabben – a socio-technical researcher at the RMIT Blockchain Innovation Hub told Evan Wallace.
