The honeyeater is an endangered bird with only around 300 birds in the wild and distributed from Victoria up to Queensland.

BirdLife Australia created a program to breed honeyeaters and to save them from extinction, and recently they released 58 of these birds into the wild.

Honeyeaters are part of First Nations culture and connection in New South Wales.
