Meat eating link to inflammation, worse gut health and MS:
New research has found links between eating more meat and having worse gut health as well as an escalation of MS symptoms. This was the first study that looked at the interplay between diet, gut health, the immune system and their contribution to the progression of MS. Thursday Drive Presenter Beth Tracey spoke to one of the study’s authors, Associate Professor Laura Piccio from The University of Sydney, about this approach and what it could mean for future research into disease prevention.
