PNG COVID Vaccination rate remains low as restrictions ease worldwide
Papua New Guinea has some of the lowest vaccination rates in the world, with only 2.6% of the country having received both doses.
As a result, the disease has continued to spread and has caused significant staff shortages in the nations hospitals.
Medical Professionals within the country are calling on both the Papua New Guinea and Australian governments to do more to assist.
