Children with parents in jail are left out of the system
About 43,000 children in Australia have at least one parent in jail any given day.
The issue is concerning since the governments and the police are not supporting in any way these children, and usually are left out of the system unprotected.
It comes as Victoria is in the process of a parliamentary enquiry about the issue, and experts are hopeful some significant change is made to support children.
