Australia seeks further reach in Antarctica over next decade
Last week’s announcement of the plan for Australia’s next 10 years in Antarctica included the promise of survey technology capable of reaching parts of Antarctica that have been previously unseen.
Included in this package are drones that some suspect to possess dual-capability technology with the potential for militarisation.
This has brought on questions about the nature of Australia’s research, and how other countries will react on the Antarctic continent.
