Federal budget snubs calls for higher wages for aged care workers

Aged care workers have been left disappointed by Tuesday night’s budget for its failure to address one of the fundamental recommendations of last year’s aged care royal commission to increase wages. The Australian Aged Care Collaboration, which represents six aged care peak bodies, says the aged care wage still doesn’t meet the cost of living in this country.
